Improvisation!

Our students have been carrying on some activities about improvisation... in English, of course! 

La Cigale et la Fourmi

Nos amies la Cigale et la Fourmi ont passé nous rendre visite et elles nous ont raconté la fable que Jean de la Fontaine avait écrit sur elles. Ici, Pol Sánchez et Pol Balletbó de 3eme d'ESO nous expliquent comment a-t-il eu lieu. 

THE MOUSETRAP

In November our students in 4th of ESO had the opportunity to enjoy one of the most long-standing plays worldwide: The Mousetrap. It was not only a fantastic way to watch a play in the mythical “Apolo theatre” in Barcelona, but it was also a good way to enjoy the performance of a very well-known group of actors and actresses and, above all, to enjoy an excellent play written by one of the best Noir fiction writers, Agatha Christie. We are part now of the Mousetrap world... remember to keep the secret!

The students loved it. We hope they noted down tricks and advices to apply them on stage in a future, because during the second term we are going to start the rehearsals of the chosen plays to perform at the end of the academic year.

Throne Raiders- Face 2 Face

On Tuesday 11th November The Face 2 Face Theatre Company visited our school again. This time, we enjoyed the performance of Throne Raiders, a funny play staging the adventures of Clara Loft and Minnesota Jones in their hunt of the Throne of Truth. For more than an hour, we could share with the protagonists the quest of the throne in the Temple of Doom, an aerobics lesson at “Carlos’ Gym”, an amazing parachute jump out of a plane and their meeting back at the Easter Island. The actors, Anna and Paul, welcomed on stage some other unexpected performers chosen among the students, such as Christian Pérez, Ainhoa Reyes, Eric Tavares from 1st ESO and Pedro Molina and Axel Chaparro from 3rd ESO. Thanks to all of them, we could enjoy a funny, captivating and entertaining show in English!

Sant Jordi and "Grease"

St. Jordi is always a special date in our school. Some years ago we started to perform some sketches in English in front of the whole students and teachers. This year has been the time for "Grease", the musical. Congratulations to all the students who took part in it. It was a total success!

GREASE coming soon!

Students in 4th of ESO are rehearsing the musical Grease. The big show will be held on the 23rd April, when our school celebrates Sant Jordi. They are very excited about it!!!

Portes obertes

Some days ago, we had the pleasure to show students in 6è, and their parents, our Secondary School. As theatre in English is one of the strength points in our curriculum, the English team, Alicia Campoy and Sara Roig, asked some voluntary students to perform some of the sketches we had been playing in class.
