Throne Raiders- Face 2 Face

On Tuesday 11th November The Face 2 Face Theatre Company visited our school again. This time, we enjoyed the performance of Throne Raiders, a funny play staging the adventures of Clara Loft and Minnesota Jones in their hunt of the Throne of Truth. For more than an hour, we could share with the protagonists the quest of the throne in the Temple of Doom, an aerobics lesson at “Carlos’ Gym”, an amazing parachute jump out of a plane and their meeting back at the Easter Island. The actors, Anna and Paul, welcomed on stage some other unexpected performers chosen among the students, such as Christian Pérez, Ainhoa Reyes, Eric Tavares from 1st ESO and Pedro Molina and Axel Chaparro from 3rd ESO. Thanks to all of them, we could enjoy a funny, captivating and entertaining show in English!

Sant Jordi and "Grease"

St. Jordi is always a special date in our school. Some years ago we started to perform some sketches in English in front of the whole students and teachers. This year has been the time for "Grease", the musical. Congratulations to all the students who took part in it. It was a total success!

Students in 4th of ESO are rehearsing the musical Grease. The big show will be held on the 23rd April, when our school celebrates Sant Jordi. They are very excited about it!!!

Some days ago, we had the pleasure to show students in 6è, and their parents, our Secondary School. As theatre in English is one of the strength points in our curriculum, the English team, Alicia Campoy and Sara Roig, asked some voluntary students to perform some of the sketches we had been playing in class. Primary school students loved it. They also had the chance to watch some videos that our students had recorded. The following one was filmed by a group of students in first of ESO:

Sant Jordi and The Hysterical History of Troy

Gorgeous. That's how the premiere was! Our students were wonderful playing their roles. And people who watched the play (students from 1st to 3rd of ESO and teachers) congratulated us for the success. We want to thank our students because the made a great effort to memorize the text, which was not easy. As they would say: "It was Amazing!" I hope you enjoy the following pictures and video:

English theatre in 4th of ESO

 Last school year the English team was asked to prepare a show in English for St. Jordi. It was a short sketch played by a group of students in second of ESO. It was such a success that this year Alicia Campoy and Sara Roig are going to start a new project: teaching theatre in English in 4th of ESO. 

We are really happy and excited about it, because it is a challenge for us. We have already choosen the play that our students are going to perform: an adaptation of  "The Hysterical History of Troy". Students are already memorising their roles and very soon we will be ready to start with first rehearsals!
